Senior Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure software quality standards are met, the full-time Senior Test Automation Engineer will create and maintain test scripts, coordinate testing activities with developers and functional analysts, and manage testing artifacts in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with developers and functional analysts to create test plans and scripts in compliance with VA testing documentation standards
• Lead continuous integration and performance testing events while managing and tracking testing artifacts using GitHub and Jira
• Identify and document defects, monitor defect reports, and execute both manual and automated test scripts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of relevant experience in manual and automation testing
• Experience in developing test plans and procedures, and managing defect databases
• Proficiency in developing test automation scripts using scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript
• Eligibility for a Security Clearance / Public Trust and U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency
