Senior Test Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the comprehensive quality assurance and testing strategy, the full-time remote Senior Test Engineer will develop test plans, manage the defect lifecycle, and coordinate integration testing for Appian and Palantir platform capabilities to ensure compliance with functional, performance, security, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the comprehensive Test Strategy and Test Plan for all phases of testing
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution verification
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with VA acquisition staff to evaluate delivered capabilities

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience, with at least 4 years leading test programs on large federal IT systems
• Demonstrated expertise in developing test strategies, plans, scripts, and acceptance criteria for complex environments
• Experience with manual and automated testing approaches, including integration and performance testing
• Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field required
