Senior Thermal Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Offering a fully remote opportunity, the full-time Senior Thermal Mechanical Engineer will perform fuel rod thermal-mechanical design analyses, ensuring mechanical integrity throughout the design lifetime while collaborating with experts in fuel design and analysis.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform coupled heat transfer and finite element mechanical analyses for fuel rod pellet and cladding
• Establish thermal mechanical operating limits and assist in evaluating fuel behavior for transient analyses
• Maintain and develop fuel performance code and technical design procedures related to fuel rod design/analysis activities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
• Minimum 4 years of experience in thermal-mechanical or nuclear fuel analysis
• Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information
• Comfortable with less than 10% travel
