Senior Thermal Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of innovative lunar technologies, the full-time Senior Thermal Systems Engineer will perform thermal design and analysis, develop mission concepts for lunar landers and spacecraft, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with the option to work remotely or onsite in Pittsburgh, PA.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and review concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, and spacecraft
- Perform thermal design and analysis to meet mission objectives and requirements
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines and external partners to resolve technical challenges
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline with 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in space system development, systems engineering, or thermal design and analysis
- Experience in developing technical content for proposals and customer presentations
- Strong understanding of the launch, space, and lunar environments
- Ability to author and decompose mission and system-level requirements
