Senior Threat Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the capabilities of the Wirespeed Verdict Engine, the full-time Senior Threat Engineer will design and improve detection, decisioning, and response workflows, focusing on scalable solutions and automation to better handle complex threat detection challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance workflows that power the Wirespeed Verdict Engine for high-precision security decisions
• Own complex threat detection problems and translate investigative insights into scalable detections and automated responses
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and ensure customer experience remains a priority in system outputs

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in cybersecurity operations, including threat detection and response, incident response, or SOC operations
• Proven ability to independently manage complex technical problem areas and drive them to better outcomes
• Experience building and maintaining automations, detections, and enrichment pipelines in security tooling
• Strong investigative and analytical skills to develop practical detection logic from ambiguous signals
• Interest in improving operational processes rather than solely executing tasks traditionally associated with analyst roles
