Senior Threat Response Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing security services team, the full-time Senior Threat Response Engineer will remotely investigate and respond to confirmed compromises on customer endpoints, leveraging security products and collaborating with various teams to enhance threat remediation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform investigations into detected threats and utilize security products for analysis, containment, and remediation
• Provide customers with comprehensive reports detailing actions taken for environment cleanup and protection strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative methods for timely threat remediation while participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation

Required qualifications

• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through direct experience responding to security events and threats
• Mastery of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) products such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, or CarbonBlack
• Deep understanding of internal system functionality for Windows and MacOS operating systems
• Demonstrated experience with AI tools and integrating new technologies to enhance workflows
• Professional communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical documentation
