Senior Traffic Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting large transformative transportation projects remotely, the full-time Senior Traffic Engineer will design traffic engineering plans, conduct traffic studies, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance mobility and safety across critical corridors.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce various traffic engineering plans and reports in collaboration with a team of engineers and technicians
• Deliver traffic signal design, signing, striping, lighting, and traffic control plans while conducting corridor and traffic impact studies
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, lower-level Engineers, and may supervise subordinates on projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive experience in traffic/transportation engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Microstation or AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), MUTCD, and Signal Warrant studies
• PE registration and PTOE certification are highly preferred
