Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Job Summary

Leading innovative projects, the hybrid Senior Transmission Line Engineer will design high-voltage transmission lines (69 kV to 765 kV), collaborate with clients and vendors, and ensure successful project execution while working both in-office and remotely after the initial 90 days of employment.

Key responsibilities

• Design transmission lines using PLS-CADD, including developing and reviewing models and verifying right of way requirements
• Collaborate with clients and peers to determine project needs, optimize routes, and identify materials and design solutions
• Coordinate design teams to prepare project deliverables and provide engineering support during construction phases

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• EIT Certification preferred
• Typically requires 6 years of experience in transmission line design
• Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and foundation design software such as MFAD or L-Pile
• Solid knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ASCE 7, and AISC standards
