Senior Transmission Planning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior or Principal Transmission Planning Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team in conducting complex power system studies and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Engage with clients to provide solutions for enhancing the reliability and economics of transmission systems
• Perform technical studies and modeling, including load flow and contingency studies, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience in Transmission planning
• Proficiency in software such as GE PSLF, TARA, Gridview, PowerWorld, PSSE, and PSCAD
• Experience with ISO transmission systems and generator interconnection processes
• EIT certification with the ability to obtain PE through examination
• Demonstrated leadership experience and strong client relationship skills within the Transmission Planning industry
