Job Summary
Recognized as an industry expert, the fully remote Senior Transmission Planning Engineer will lead technical direction, conduct system impact studies, and mentor less experienced engineers while ensuring compliance with NERC/FERC guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Establish technical direction and philosophy for the organization while providing leadership to project teams
- Conduct Steady State studies and analyze the performance of transmission and generation systems under various operational conditions
- Delegate, plan, and review the work of other consultants, ensuring high-quality project outcomes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Four (4) to ten (10) years of engineering experience
- Experience running Steady State studies
- Knowledge of power system analysis and modeling techniques
- Strong analytical and computer skills
