Job Summary
Leading accessibility testing and compliance efforts for Federal client digital platforms, the full-time Senior Trusted Tester 508 Specialist will perform manual and automated testing, validate remediation activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility testing using DHS Trusted Tester methodology and Section 508 standards across various digital content types
- Document findings, track defects in Jira, and provide remediation guidance to developers and stakeholders
- Support accessibility training and integrate testing with functional and regression testing processes
Required qualifications
- DHS Trusted Tester certification or equivalent expertise in Section 508/WCAG accessibility testing
- Experience testing websites, documents, and multimedia for accessibility compliance
- Proficiency with accessibility tools such as JAWS, WAVE, and Adobe Acrobat accessibility features
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and accessible design principles
- Experience documenting defects and accessibility reports using Jira or similar tools
