Senior UI Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior UI Software Engineer will design and develop the Angular/TypeScript Client Application for next-generation sequencing instruments, collaborating with UX designers and backend engineers to create high-quality user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Angular/TypeScript Client Application within an Electron desktop shell
• Drive technical decisions on front-end component design and state management, ensuring high performance and quality
• Collaborate with UX designers to translate Figma designs into production-ready components and participate in code reviews

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience with Angular (v15+), TypeScript, and RxJS reactive programming patterns
• Strong proficiency with NgRx or equivalent Redux-pattern state management
• Solid experience building component-based UIs with Angular Material and SCSS
• Experience with Electron desktop application development and real-time communication using SignalR or WebSockets
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
