Senior Underground Transmission Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underground Transmission Line Engineer 2 - Grid.

Key Responsibilities

• Design underground transmission lines for voltages up to 500kV, including duct bank layouts and manhole placement
• Conduct cost analyses, develop design criteria, and perform cable selection studies
• Lead a small project team and coordinate with vendors and clients on transmission line components

Required Qualifications

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
• 7 or more years of experience in underground transmission projects
• Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling and cable tensioning calculations
• Experience in cost estimate development and schedule coordination
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, EPRI Green Book, and IEEE
