Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter to manage underwriting for health insurance products, focusing on level-funded and self-funded cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize proprietary underwriting algorithms to provide competitive pricing for health plans
• Underwrite complex employer group cases and review case preparation work from analysts
• Collaborate with various teams to enhance underwriting strategies and support customer retention

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Insurance, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in group health level-funded and/or stop-loss underwriting
• Experience with small group underwriting (50 - 99 employees)
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated commitment to core competencies such as authenticity, curiosity, and creativity
