Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter to evaluate group cases and develop pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and experience analyses for new business, renewals, and benefit changes
• Develop and recommend appropriate pricing strategies for moderately complex and large group cases
• Mentor junior underwriting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex cases

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years preferred in dental or healthcare insurance underwriting
• Experience handling group underwriting, including new business and renewals
• Prior mentorship or leadership experience within a team environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with workflow systems preferred
