Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate mortality and morbidity risks to determine underwriting requirements and risk categories
• Provide technical expertise and support to client companies while managing challenging situations effectively
• Assist in training, lead team discussions, and contribute positively to departmental management and project participation

Required Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree, or equivalent working experience
• Minimum of 6 years of underwriting experience, including substandard business and medical underwriting
• Service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills for collaboration
• Bilingual French/English is an asset; English is required for communication with clients
• Experience with multiple lines of business (Life, DI, CI) is an asset
