Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

Demonstrating strong risk evaluation and selection skills, the full-time Senior Underwriter will manage the profitable acquisition and retention of business by consulting with sales teams, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with sales and service partners to provide tailored products and plan options for customers
• Evaluate and select risks to ensure profitable acquisition of new cases and retention of existing cases
• Conduct high-quality risk assessments and analyze trends to meet business guidelines and profit metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant business experience
• Demonstrated proficiency at the Underwriter level with strong technical expertise in risk selection
• Fully developed knowledge of product provisions, plan designs, and pricing
• Solid mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills
