Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Underwriter to work remotely, who will review AI-generated analyses, make underwriting decisions on commercial trucking accounts, and build strong broker relationships while mentoring junior underwriters.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI-generated submission analyses and identify model blind spots before making underwriting decisions
• Make fast and precise decisions on commercial trucking accounts, including approvals, modifications, or escalations
• Build and deepen relationships with brokers, leading negotiations and presenting coverage and pricing to insured leadership teams

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial trucking underwriting experience with a proven track record of profitability
• Deep technical knowledge of trucking operations, FMCSA/DOT data, and loss run analysis
• Fluency in pricing components, including tier, experience mod, and territory factor
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted broker relationships and win competitive accounts
• Executive presence for presenting to CFOs and fleet directors, with comfort in deal negotiation
