Senior Underwriter
Job Summary
Responsible for underwriting and clearing conditions for Agency and Non-Agency loans, the full-time Senior Underwriter will manage a pipeline to ensure timely final underwriting and collaborate with internal teams while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a pipeline with a 24-hour turn-around time for final underwriting and a 48-hour turn-around time for upfront reviews
- Analyze risk for initial credit decisions based on company and Agency guidelines
- Communicate errors and missing information to processors and issue final approvals with necessary documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- SAR and/or DE certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience preferred
- Working knowledge of mortgage banking software and underwriting processes
- Experience underwriting USDA and Bond programs is a plus
