Job Summary

Leading the evaluation of complex mortgage loan applications, the full-time Senior Underwriter - Arizona Licensed will ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze complex loan applications, assessing borrower creditworthiness and risk factors
• Make high-level underwriting decisions on approvals, counteroffers, or denials based on nuanced risk analysis
• Provide training and guidance to junior underwriters, enhancing underwriting quality and consistency

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years of progressive experience in mortgage underwriting
• Proven skills in mortgage underwriting functions and advanced understanding of multiple loan products
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Encompass technology
• Willingness to pursue continuing education and certifications relevant to the role
