Job Summary
Reviewing applications for petroleum distribution insurance, the full-time Senior Underwriter - Excess Petroleum will evaluate risk characteristics, determine coverage levels and pricing, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Adhere to underwriting guidelines and execute pricing strategies to maintain profitability goals
- Approve or decline insurance applications and prepare referrals for risks exceeding authority limits
- Review and analyze risk characteristics for various fuel distribution insurance applications across the US
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial P&C underwriting or related insurance experience required
- Experience underwriting commercial E&S policies required
- Experience underwriting excess petroleum policies strongly preferred
- Experience working for an MGA preferred
