Senior Underwriter for Primary Casualty

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Senior Underwriter for Primary Casualty will manage a profitable book of business by selecting, pricing, and reviewing new and renewal business while working remotely in the Midwest or Eastern Regions.

Key responsibilities:

• Select, price, quote, and review new and renewal business in line with underwriting guidelines
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers and producers to develop new opportunities and retain existing accounts
• Lead and coach the underwriting team while sharing industry expertise and assessing risk quality

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of current underwriting insurance experience
• Bachelor's degree highly preferred
• CPCU or professional insurance designation strongly preferred
• Ability to apply underwriting tools and systems effectively
• Demonstrated ability to build healthy working relationships and mentor others
