Senior Underwriter GA Licensed

Job Summary

Reviewing and evaluating conventional, FHA, VA, and specialty product loans, the full-time Senior Underwriter GA Licensed will assess credit worthiness, manage risk, and ensure compliance with lending guidelines while working in a remote eligible environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive loan file reviews to ensure compliance and eligibility in the secondary market
• Perform credit analysis, asset and debt evaluations, and collateral reviews to assess borrower qualifications
• Communicate underwriting decisions and collaborate with Loan Originators, Processors, and other stakeholders

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' experience underwriting conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loans
• Licenses/Certifications: Direct Endorsement (DE); Staff Appraisal Reviewer/Lender Appraisal Processing Program (SAR/LAPP), VA Credit Authority
• Strong understanding of investor, agency, and government guidelines and systems
• Proven ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information while meeting deadlines
