Senior Underwriter Loss Sensitive
Job Summary
To support the growth of loss sensitive and captive solutions, the full-time Senior Underwriter Loss Sensitive will underwrite middle market risks, build broker relationships, and manage an assigned book of business remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite loss sensitive middle market and national account risks with sound technical judgment on pricing and terms
- Build and maintain broker relationships, providing multi-option solutions for complex placements
- Manage and grow an assigned book of business while maintaining underwriting discipline and monitoring portfolio quality
Required qualifications
- 5-12+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience at a top carrier
- Hands-on technical expertise in loss sensitive structures, including large deductible, SIR, and retrospective rating
- Experience with captive solutions is a plus
- Proven track record of profitable underwriting in middle market or national accounts
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on building broker trust and achieving production targets
