Senior Underwriter - Medical Liability

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Hospital Underwriter - Medical Professional Liability.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal submissions, focusing on manual and experience-rated accounts while managing existing business
• Expand new business opportunities through target accounts and brokers, conducting meetings to discuss terms and conditions
• Ensure compliance and audit-worthiness of documentation while monitoring financial performance against established revenue budgets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in insurance, risk management, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum of seven years of medical professional liability underwriting experience, with at least four years in specialty underwriting
• CPCU, AIC, or ARM designation highly desired
• Strong understanding of insurance and medical terminology, along with insurance and underwriting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
