Senior Underwriter, Medical Stop Loss
Job Summary
Seeking a self-motivated Senior Underwriter, Medical Stop Loss, this full-time remote position will analyze complex risks, make underwriting decisions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support profitable growth and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate new and existing business within assigned authority levels
- Partner with sales/service teams on products and plan designs that meet customer needs
- Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced underwriters, sharing technical expertise
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Seven or more years of underwriting or related insurance experience
- Proven experience handling complex underwriting decisions
- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk, pricing, and policy provisions
- Understanding of financial and business performance goals
