Senior Underwriting Consultant
Job Summary
Supporting the Executive Benefits Team in a remote capacity, the full-time Senior Underwriting Consultant will underwrite employer-owned life insurance programs, focusing on COLI/BOLI/ICOLI while ensuring compliance and strong risk selection.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Guaranteed Issue (GI) and Simplified Issue (SI) COLI cases in accordance with guidelines
- Analyze lives and determine appropriate ratings and underwriting actions for COLI/BOLI/ICOLI programs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners while supporting large case decision processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience
- 5-7+ years of experience in Underwriting Individual Life Insurance
- Demonstrated excellence in analyzing complex financial documents
- Strong skills in risk assessment and decision making using sound judgment
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
