Senior Underwriting Consultant

Job Summary

Working remotely from anywhere within the U.S., the full-time Senior Underwriting Consultant will analyze complex health benefit plans, assess risks, and provide financial recommendations while serving as a consultative resource for underwriting and account management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product integration analysis to balance client affordability and company financials
• Serve as a senior technical resource on complex underwriting issues, including renewals and pricing exceptions
• Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance on underwriting standards and processes

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in healthcare underwriting or managing financials for various products
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, financial modeling, or pricing analysis
• Experience presenting financial recommendations to stakeholders and account teams
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in underwriting tools and processes
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel for financial modeling
