Senior Underwriting Consultant
Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Underwriting Consultant, this fully remote position will analyze complex risks, make sound underwriting decisions, and partner with sales/service teams to support profitable growth and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate new and existing business within assigned authority levels
- Make sound underwriting decisions that support profitable growth and customer retention
- Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced underwriters, sharing technical expertise and coaching on underwriting decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Seven or more years of underwriting or related insurance experience
- Proven experience handling complex underwriting decisions
- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk, pricing, plan design, and policy provisions
- Understanding of financial and business performance goals
