Senior Underwriting Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing real estate services company, the full-time Senior Underwriting Counsel will provide legal guidance on underwriting matters, manage risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on underwriting issues and policies
• Conduct risk assessments and manage underwriting-related legal matters
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the title insurance industry

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in the relevant state(s)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting or related legal practice
• Strong knowledge of title insurance and real estate law
• Experience in managing complex legal issues and risk assessments
