Senior Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriting Manager to join their Commercial Auto team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage underwriting operations, including risk selection, pricing, and reviewing endorsements and renewals
• Oversee a team of underwriters, providing leadership, training, and performance management
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and agents through targeted marketing efforts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience as a Commercial Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state and multi-line environment
• Strong technical P&C underwriting knowledge, specifically in Commercial Auto
• Advanced knowledge of ISO commercial class codes and regulatory requirements
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
• Experience in training and mentoring less experienced staff
