Senior Underwriting Strategy Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the Director of Underwriting Strategy, the full-time remote Senior Underwriting Strategy Analyst will drive portfolio performance, optimize underwriting strategies, and advance initiatives across the underwriting lifecycle through analytics and cross-functional leadership.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute underwriting strategies aligned to growth and profitability goals while analyzing portfolio performance trends
• Conduct advanced data analysis to identify drivers of loss and profitability, developing dashboards and reporting frameworks for leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategy and execution, supporting product development and underwriting governance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, underwriting strategy, or analytics within insurance
• Strong understanding of underwriting principles, pricing dynamics, and risk selection
• Advanced analytical skills (Excel, SQL, or similar tools; Tableau/Power BI preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into business strategy
