Job Summary
Supporting the Director of Underwriting Strategy, the full-time Senior Underwriting Strategy Analyst will drive portfolio performance and optimize underwriting through advanced data analysis and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute underwriting strategies aligned with growth, profitability, and risk appetite goals
- Conduct advanced data analysis to identify drivers of loss and profitability, translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Lead initiatives to streamline underwriting workflows and enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in underwriting, underwriting strategy, or analytics within the insurance industry
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, pricing dynamics, and risk selection
- Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, and familiarity with Tableau/Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into business strategy
