Job Summary
Supporting the Director of Underwriting Strategy, the full-time remote Senior Underwriting Strategy Analyst will drive portfolio performance, optimize underwriting processes, and advance strategic initiatives through analytics and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute underwriting strategies aligned with growth and profitability goals while analyzing portfolio performance trends
- Conduct advanced data analysis to identify drivers of loss and profitability, translating complex data into actionable insights for underwriting leadership
- Lead initiatives to streamline underwriting workflows and support governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to guidelines and enhancing decision quality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in underwriting, underwriting strategy, or analytics within the insurance industry
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, pricing dynamics, and risk selection
- Advanced analytical skills using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau/Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into effective business strategies
