Senior Urban Planner

Job Summary

Leading signature projects to enhance city and utility sustainability, the full-time Senior Urban Planner will manage comprehensive planning initiatives, conduct regulatory analysis, and engage with communities to deliver innovative urban solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans addressing sustainability, land use, and public infrastructure while considering community needs
• Conduct research and analyze data to inform planning decisions and ensure compliance with zoning laws and regulations
• Facilitate public engagement sessions and present findings to stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Geography, Public Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in environmental planning or sustainability
• Certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred
• Knowledge of zoning laws, land use regulations, and urban development processes
• Experience in community engagement and public consultation
