Senior UX Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior UX Designer to improve the digital disability benefits experience for Veterans.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that meet VA.gov's standards
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and identify improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to create holistic solutions that enhance the Veteran experience

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX, product, or service design for complex digital applications
• Expertise in human-centered design, interaction design, and usability best practices
• Strong portfolio showcasing the end-to-end design process and accessible designs
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508) and inclusive design principles
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Mural, and collaborative agile tools
