Senior UX Designer

Job Summary

Leading the UX/UI design efforts for a new publishing website, the freelance Senior UX Designer will work remotely to create engaging user experiences, develop design solutions, and collaborate with engineering teams for a major financial institution project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the UX/UI design process from concept to implementation, ensuring cohesive and engaging user experiences
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including editorial teams and developers, to gather requirements and align on project vision
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups while conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio in editorial, publishing, or media-related projects
• Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience designing responsive interfaces and familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how design translates into code
• Upper Intermediate proficiency in English and Japanese (JLPT N2)
