Senior UX Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior UX Designer will lead design initiatives, conduct user research, and mentor junior team members while contributing to the UX strategy for Veterans Affairs projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of design work, including sketches, wireframes, and prototypes, while navigating ambiguous requirements
• Plan, conduct, and analyze user research, prioritizing projects based on team needs and goals
• Influence and communicate research strategies, while mentoring junior designers and researchers

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in UX design
• Prior experience mentoring junior team members
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Miro, or Adobe
• Strong understanding of research principles and Agile best practices
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter
