Job Summary
To support a high-priority modernization pipeline, the contract Senior UX Designer - Iowa Licensed will collaborate remotely with the Lead UX/Accessibility Architect to enhance digital standards, manage user testing, and ensure accessibility compliance across various state projects.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute user experience research to evaluate workflows for educators and state employees
- Moderate user testing sessions and usability labs to identify and resolve workflow friction
- Integrate digital accessibility standards into design systems and user research practices
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in user testing, usability labs, and heuristic evaluations
- Practical knowledge of WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements and accessibility principles
- Front-end engineering experience with semantic HTML5 and responsive CSS/SASS
- Experience integrating designs into Angular or MVC .NET framework environments
- Proficiency in user journey mapping, persona development, and information architecture
