Senior Vehicle Modeling Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of autonomous vehicle technology, the full-time Senior Vehicle Modeling Engineer will develop and maintain high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models and simulation platforms, collaborating with autonomy engineering teams to ensure effective validation of autonomous driving software in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own vehicle dynamics models for simulation and autonomy validation
• Design and maintain high-fidelity simulation platforms for closed-loop evaluation of autonomous driving software
• Collaborate with autonomy engineering teams to capture vehicle model requirements and ensure alignment with validation activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field plus 6+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree plus 3+ years, or a PhD plus 1+ year of experience
• Proficiency in C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, CMake, and Linux
• Experience with physics-based modeling of ground vehicles and AV autonomy stack architecture
• Ability to translate vehicle model capabilities to engineering teams and capture requirements for model improvements
• Experience with testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and regression testing
