Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior / Staff Video Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA, US Remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with product, customer success, and engineering teams to execute on product and business strategy
- Contribute to the full development cycle, from technical design to launch & on-call
- Take accountability for project planning and delivery, influencing the team's roadmap
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in production Backend & Video Engineering
- Expertise in building and operating distributed video systems in a service-oriented architecture
- Solid operational experience with Kubernetes, monitoring tools, databases, and data streaming technologies
- In-depth experience building integrated Video products using open-source libraries like ffmpeg or libav
- Strong knowledge of different video codecs, encoding, profiles, and compatibility
