Job Summary

Driving systemic change in child care, the full-time remote Senior VP of Communications and External Impact will shape and advance the organization's national narrative, influence public positioning, and ensure a cohesive external presence while partnering closely with executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steward the organization's national narrative, ensuring clarity and consistency across all platforms
• Design and execute a comprehensive influence strategy that elevates the organization's role with policymakers and media
• Build and lead a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, communications, political science, or a related field is preferred
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in communications or public affairs, including executive-level responsibility
• Demonstrated success in shaping national narratives and influencing public discourse
• Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and operate as a trusted strategic advisor
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
