Job Summary
To support federal IT infrastructure, the contracted Senior Web Designer / Developer - Section 508 will maintain and optimize public website environments, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards while managing deployment lifecycles and security updates remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain public websites by posting reports and interactive data visualizations using compliant web architecture
- Execute software upgrades, manage custom module patches, and ensure system security through proactive administration
- Remediate Section 508 and WCAG compliance gaps, optimizing accessibility features for assistive technologies
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of web development experience with substantial recent work in administering Drupal environments
- Hands-on experience with WCAG Level A/AA compliance and accessibility defect remediation
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP/Twig, and Drupal administration
- Familiarity with Git version control and continuous integration pipelines
