Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior WordPress Developer for a fully remote, 12-month contract position, responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise-scale WordPress websites, enhancing site functionality, and improving performance for high-visibility web properties.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-scale WordPress websites and applications
• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
• Enhance existing site functionality and troubleshoot issues across WordPress codebases

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional web development experience
• Proven experience developing WordPress websites using PHP and JavaScript
• Demonstrated ability to build custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including APIs and the Block Editor (Gutenberg)
• Experience optimizing website performance and troubleshooting production issues
