Senior WordPress Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Senior WordPress Engineer for a full-time remote position, who will develop custom themes and plugins, optimize site performance, and troubleshoot complex technical issues within the WordPress ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, and integrations while ensuring compliance with coding standards
• Optimize WordPress sites for speed and scalability, and perform code reviews and refactoring
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical recommendations during project planning and execution

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in custom WordPress development and backend engineering
• Strong command of PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, and modern web technologies
• Proficiency in front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React
• Experience with performance optimization techniques and security best practices in WordPress
• Familiarity with version control systems and DevOps workflows, including CI/CD processes
