Senior Workday Extend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of scalable solutions across the Workday ecosystem, the fully remote Senior Workday Extend Engineer will design and build Workday Extend applications, manage integrations, and optimize platform performance while collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Workday Extend applications, custom UIs, and orchestrations to enhance platform capabilities
• Maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and APIs to ensure reliable data exchange across systems
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to integration standards while troubleshooting production issues

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday technical development experience, including 2 years focused on Workday Extend
• Proficiency in Workday integration toolsets such as Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors
• Strong knowledge of web services standards including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and familiarity with CI/CD practices in an enterprise environment
