Senior Workers Comp Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter (Workers Comp).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate workers compensation insurance applications to determine coverage acceptance or decline
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and industry regulations while documenting risk analysis
• Collaborate with producers and the underwriting team to achieve production goals and process applications efficiently

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of related experience
• Minimum 5 years of Workers Compensation underwriting or related insurance experience
• Experience underwriting risks in construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing
• Relevant certifications such as CPCU, CIC, or Property & Casualty Brokers License are a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software quickly
