Senior Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Job Summary

A company in the Insurance industry is looking for a Senior Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Position Responsibilities:

• Determines compensability of claims and administer benefits, based upon state law and in accordance with established Company guidelines
• Manages medical treatment and medical billing, authorizing as appropriate
• Refers cases to outside defense counsel. Directs and manages as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required
• Requires excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Must have strong knowledge of applicable state laws and regulations related to Workers Compensation
• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
