Job Summary

To support the mission of improving youth mental health, the full-time salaried Senior Writer will create persuasive proposals and narratives for government partnerships, working remotely to influence policymakers and elevate the quality of content aimed at decision-makers in the education sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the writing of high-stakes proposals and RFP responses, ensuring clarity and responsiveness to local needs
• Distill insights from schools and families into concise content that informs policy conversations
• Serve as an editorial quality bar for government-facing content, collaborating with various teams to enhance messaging

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional writing experience in journalism, freelance writing, or similar roles with a strong portfolio
• Proven ability to simplify complex subjects for a general audience without losing depth
• Experience communicating with senior decision-makers in a persuasive manner
• Sharp editorial judgment with the ability to review and improve diverse content formats
• Genuine interest in youth mental health, education, or public policy
