Senior z/OS Mainframe Programmer

Job Summary

To support the z/OS Mainframe Software Infrastructure team, the contract Senior z/OS Mainframe Network Systems Programmer will manage software upgrade requirements, coordinate major upgrades, and develop technical documentation while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Determine and manage z/OS software upgrade requirements in collaboration with technical support teams
• Develop and maintain standards for Software Infrastructure and Program Products while monitoring service levels
• Manage multiple projects, including project management for major product upgrades to ensure mainframe stability

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with z/OS Mainframe VTAM, SNA, APPN, HPR, and TCP/IP
• Experience providing technical and operational support in a large-scale computing environment with multiple z/OS LPARs
• Proven implementation and configuration skills for VTAM, TCP/IP, and related technologies
• 15+ years of related technical experience and a degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to support Disaster Recovery exercises and provide on-call support
